Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and certified Home Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic, as well as a comprehensive understanding of residential building systems and components. As a Home Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of residential properties, identifying issues, and providing clients with comprehensive reports on the condition of the property.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform detailed and thorough inspections of residential properties, including but not limited to, the structural components, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, roofing, and overall condition of the property.
2. Identify and document any defects or potential issues in accordance with industry standards and applicable regulations.
3. Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and comprehensive inspection reports to clients, including photographs, descriptions of issues, and recommendations for repairs or improvements.
4. Communicate findings effectively to clients, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and unbiased manner.
5. Maintain current knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and best practices related to home inspections.
6. Manage scheduling, appointments, and follow-up communication with clients and real estate professionals.
7. Ensure all inspection tools, equipment, and vehicles are well-maintained and in proper working order.
8. Maintain appropriate professional certifications and licenses, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
9. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
2. Current home inspector certification/license in the state of operation, or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients in an understandable manner.
4. Proficient in using inspection tools, equipment, and software.
5. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Membership in a professional home inspector association.
2. Experience with infrared thermography, mold assessment, or other specialized inspection services.
3. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
4. Bilingual language skills.
